Project Selection- Film

I like films because you are able to represent a long period of time in just a few short hours. It makes the viewers feel as if they're a part of a new world and can even be a source of escape for some individuals. With films I have viewed such as Ferris Beuler's Day Off, it is very interesting to me after seeing the orgininal movie and the documentary because it gives an inside view of what the set of a movie is truly like, and all the ins and outs of the production of such a large film. How every aspect within the film ranging from costumes, to scene cuts, to actors chosen, to the angles a scene is filmed in, and everything in between is an exact science that ends in a masterpiece. Some skills I possess that would make the film project a good fit for me is that I have a keen eye for detail and I am a minor perfectionist. I see things differently than others see things sometimes, which can make for a new perspective on films and how they are presented. I am alright at creating new ideas and being creative with new scenes I would potentially be creating, and the design of sets and costumes, etc. The thing that may prove difficult for me is that I am better at taking still photographs rather than moving ones like a film calls for. I also struggle with some editing programs that I would need to cut scenes and shots which might be the greatest challenge for me.
