I like films because you are able to represent a long period of time in just a few short hours. It makes the viewers feel as if they're a part of a new world and can even be a source of escape for some individuals. With films I have viewed such as Ferris Beuler's Day Off, it is very interesting to me after seeing the orgininal movie and the documentary because it gives an inside view of what the set of a movie is truly like, and all the ins and outs of the production of such a large film. How every aspect within the film ranging from costumes, to scene cuts, to actors chosen, to the angles a scene is filmed in, and everything in between is an exact science that ends in a masterpiece. Some skills I possess that would make the film project a good fit for me is that I have a keen eye for detail and I am a minor perfectionist.
