DAZED This magazine is seen by the public to be for more ‘exotic’ and ‘edgy’ consumers. In this edition, specifically, they have the actor that played It in the movie  IT , as the focus of the cover. They have a colorful background that matches with the tone of the red creature arms that are seen as wrapping around the man. They only have the model, the title of the magazine, and a small short caption positioned on the cover. As other magazines, have, they are trying to keep a more simplistic look to their editions. Since the cover does not depict a normal magazine cover such as vogue would of a model in a fancy outfit, they give a different outlook by having the man wear a nice shirt but not too fancy, and having the strange hands around his head. Throughout the magazine, they go against the conventional ideas of what magazines have, and what the articles consist of. FANTASTIC MAN Their style proves to be very simplistic and plain, but still sleek enough so that their cover can be recognized in any stack of magazines. They have their model posing in an outfit with props so that it gives off a ‘business’ vibe. They have the model and the picture as the entire focus of the magazine with the name of the individual in smaller times new roman looking font at the bottom giving credit to them for posing as the focus of this specific edition. They have the title of their magazine as the next focus in front of the cover photo so that it is easily distinguishable. They don’t use any other captions on the cover which goes along with their very simplistic cover, as they show only the model and the title, because as they have executed so elegantly, sometimes less is more. SEVENTEEN They have a model in a young fashionable casual outfit as the main frame of the cover. They have smaller captions in colorful, bright, eye catching colors that pop out at the viewer. They make the title of the magazine the focus and have the main idea as the “cool girl vibes” in the next bigger size of text showing that that is the main focus of this magazine edition. As the magazine is geared towards younger individuals and teenagers, they have stories surrounding issues of the younger population. Articles including gift ideas for boyfriends or girlfriends, finding money for college, cute outfits to wear for different occasions and more. Since people see most teenagers as struggling with the same issues like confidence, relationships, managing school stress, family problems and more, this magazine focuses on supplying articles and lists that can offer help with these issues. VANITY FAIR They have a woman positioned as the main focus of the cover in a very exotic and eye catching dress. The contrast of the color of the dress with the color of her skin really proves to catch the eye of a passerby. They also matched the background of the photo close to the color of the dress which gives the entire cover of the magazine a very bright and eccentric color scheme. The fact that it is an almost neon green proves to stand out from the normal whites, blacks, browns, and other relatively neutral colors. Throughout the magazine, they have various adds that pertain to clothes, shoes, accessories, makeup, and hair-care products that relate to fashion. VOGUE  They have a focus of one individual, in this case Zendaya, who is dressed very elegantly in a very fancy, showy dress. She has her hair done so that every piece is in a specific place, and she seems to have a more natural makeup look to go with the dress she is wearing. They have her positioned, and the photo taken in such a manner from the waist up so that she is the main focus of the cover of the magazine. They have the silver background to contrast with that of her gold dress, and white font for the smaller notations on the cover which stand out against the main color scheme so that they are easy to read. The vogue magazine title is in bold red font in a much greater size than the rest, so that it is also the first thing that stands out if someone were to see this on a shelf. I think the project that will be the best selection for me is the magazine. I think this because I am excellent at creating stories and writing informative pieces. I am able to keep a reader interested and looking for the rest of a story throughout the piece, and I have a keen eye for aesthetically pleasing photos to add into my magazine selection. The genre I am thinking of creating my magazine is a fashion magazine. As I am also very interested in fashion and I know people that have an interesting style and look about them, I will have great resources to add photos of into the magazine articles. There are quite a few different areas around my local community and in different nearby spots that are excellent venues to take photos at. Working by myself will probably be the most ideal situation for me. I tend to work better alone because I don't have to debate on different decisions with others.
