DAZED
This magazine is seen by the public to be for more ‘exotic’ and ‘edgy’ consumers. In this edition, specifically, they have the actor that played It in the movie IT, as the focus of the cover. They have a colorful background that matches with the tone of the red creature arms that are seen as wrapping around the man. They only have the model, the title of the magazine, and a small short caption positioned on the cover. As other magazines, have, they are trying to keep a more simplistic look to their editions. Since the cover does not depict a normal magazine cover such as vogue would of a model in a fancy outfit, they give a different outlook by having the man wear a nice shirt but not too fancy, and having the strange hands around his head. Throughout the magazine, they go against the conventional ideas of what magazines have, and what the articles consist of. They just have more odd and eccentric photos strung throughout the entire piece of different models with strange makeup, hair, and clothing. They have less advertisements than others which is interesting. They consistently represent a more simplistic view throughout the magazine by using strange photos with tiny captions and articles on what is happening in the photos.
